Hi, I’m Samantha Ong, founder of Joeydolls and mom to two girls. I was born in Malaysia, raised in Australia, and now live in Canada, so I know what it feels like to grow up between cultures and search for pieces of yourself in the world around you.
As a child, I rarely saw toys that reflected my heritage. Years later, when I became a mom, I found myself searching for culturally representative dolls for my daughters and realizing how little had changed.
Joeydolls was born from that gap. Named after my daughter Joey, our brand creates dolls, plush toys, books, and accessories that help children, families, and collectors feel seen, celebrated, and proud of who they are.
