Asian Dolls on Dragons’ Den: Our Big Heartfelt Leap

Guess what? We made it to Dragons’ Den!
Yes, our beloved Asian dolls - soft, safe, and full of cultural pride - are about to be seen by families across Canada. We can hardly believe it!

For years, we thought TV wasn’t for us. We worried about keeping our heart and mission intact. But life had a surprise waiting, and we said YES when it counted!

Meet Our Asian Dolls

Before we dive into the full story, say hello to the stars of the show! Every Joeydoll is ultra-soft and 100% safe for toddlers.
They spark meaningful conversations about diversity, heritage, and kindness.

How It All Began

Earlier this year, we joined a virtual pitch contest - just for practice. We never expected it to snowball! Round after round, our pitch stood out. Suddenly, a Dragons’ Den producer slid into our LinkedIn messages. At first we said, “maybe next year.” But something kept nudging us forward.

We thought about the families we haven’t met yet. About kids who need to see themselves represented. And about every message from parents who tell us our dolls make bedtime stories shine brighter.

So we took a deep breath and said let’s do this!

The Roller-Coaster Ride to TV

What followed was pure whirlwind.

  • Tariff headaches.

  • Shipping chaos.

  • Endless late nights.

We had less than a month to prepare - and only five days of focused prep before filming! We laughed, we panicked, we cried. But we kept picturing the smiles of kids hugging their Asian dolls. That gave us strength.

We showed up. We pitched. And we told our story with love.

Why This Leap Matters

Joeydolls team with parents and children dressed in traditional Asian clothing, standing beside a colorful display of diverse cultural dolls celebrating Asian heritage and inclusion.

Being on national TV is more than a marketing milestone. It’s about breaking boundaries and proving that inclusive toys for kids deserve the spotlight.

Our mission has always been to fight anti-Asian racism and colorism. Every doll represents authentic traditions, giving children the gift of cultural pride. Seeing our dolls on Dragons’ Den means more families can join this joyful movement.

What Parents Can Take Away

Parents often ask how toys can shape character. Here’s what we’ve learned:

  • Representation matters. When kids see their culture celebrated, their confidence grows.

  • Stories connect us. Each doll comes with traditions and tales worth sharing.

  • Safety first. Our dolls are soft, hypoallergenic, and made for snuggles.

We want every playroom to be a place of inclusion and discovery!
