About Aiko

Meet Aiko, our Japanese Cultural Signature Doll

Aiko is lovingly designed to honor Japanese tradition. She wears a sakura (cherry blossom) patterned yukata paired with a bold yellow obi sash. Her hair is styled in a traditional bun adorned with pink kanzashi flowers, and she wears classic black geta shoes. Every detail reflects authentic Japanese fashion.

Her yukata and obi sash are removable for dress-up and storytelling, while her kanzashi hair flowers, traditional bun, and geta shoes are securely attached for safety. Handcrafted from soft, huggable materials, Aiko is a cultural companion who sparks storytelling, builds confidence, and nurtures inclusivity.

Perfect for everyday play or as a meaningful gift for Japanese celebrations such as Doll’s Day (Hinamatsuri), Children’s Day, and Obon, Aiko brings cultural pride and belonging into playtime.

This doll is part of the Joeydolls Signature Collection, our line of 18-inch cultural dolls created to inspire belonging, confidence, and pride in heritage.

Play with purpose

What I wished for as a child, made for yours

Growing up, I never had a doll that looked like me or celebrated where my family came from. When I became a mom and still couldn't find one for my daughter, we made them. Every Joeydoll is designed with cultural care, so more children can see themselves, their families and their traditions in everyday play.
