Today, we want to share something close to our hearts. The story behind why we created our Mexican Dolls, how community voices shaped every detail, and why giving back to immigrant families matters deeply to us.
This is more than a product launch.
It is a reflection of our values, our relationships, and our commitment to standing with families who deserve dignity, safety, and joy.

Joeydolls was created by an Asian mom who wanted better for her child. Better representation. Better stories. Better toys that reflect real cultures with care and respect.
Our dolls are soft, safe, and designed for children of all ages. Each one is thoughtfully made to celebrate culture in a way that feels joyful, familiar, and meaningful. We believe dolls should do more than entertain. They should nurture empathy, pride, and connection.
At our core, Joeydolls exists to support representation through play. Because when children see themselves reflected, something powerful happens.
They feel valued.
They feel confident.
They feel like they belong.
The idea for our Mexican Dolls did not come from a trend forecast or a marketing calendar.
It came from listening.
We heard from Mexican and Mexican American families who wanted their children to see their culture represented with honesty and warmth. Not as a costume. Not as a stereotype. But as something alive, beautiful, and deeply personal.
Many parents shared the same feeling. Growing up without toys that reflected their heritage left a quiet gap. One they didn’t always have words for until they became parents themselves.
That gap matters.
So we created our Mexican heritage dolls with one guiding question in mind.
Would this feel like home to the families we are honoring?
From the very beginning, these cultural Mexican dolls were shaped through real conversations with community members.
Parents shared memories.
Families talked about traditions.
Voices came together to guide the design.
Their feedback influenced everything.
The flow of the dresses.
The colors and patterns inspired by Mexican artistry.
The braids, ribbons, and accessories that feel familiar and comforting.
Culture is lived every day. It is carried in small details. We approached this collection with care because culture is identity, not decoration.
That is why these dolls were created with community, not just for community.
Children learn through play. It is how they explore the world, understand themselves, and build empathy for others.
When kids play with diverse dolls for kids, they learn that differences are something to celebrate. When children see dolls that reflect their own culture, they feel seen without having to ask.
Our Mexican Dolls are meant to:
Support Mexican American families in raising culturally proud kids
Help multicultural families celebrate all parts of their identity
Invite all children to learn with curiosity and respect
No child should feel invisible during playtime.
No culture should feel secondary.
This is why inclusive dolls for kids matter. They help shape kinder, more confident humans.
This collection is also about action.
Joeydolls believes that toys can carry purpose beyond the playroom. That is why our dolls that give back support organizations doing critical work for immigrant families.
We currently donate to:
1. CHIRLA (Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights)
CHIRLA supports immigrant families through organizing, advocacy, and legal services. Their work helps protect dignity and human rights for communities navigating complex systems.
2. RAICES (Refugee and Immigrant Center for Education and Legal Services)
RAICES provides immigrant rights and legal aid, social services, and advocacy for families seeking safety and stability.
These toys that give back help support families facing challenges no parent or child should have to face alone.
Immigration policies impact real families. Real children. Real futures.
For us, supporting immigrant rights is not political. It is personal. It is about humanity, safety, and care.
When families feel supported, children thrive. When communities come together, healing happens.
Our Mexican Dolls are one small way we can show solidarity. A way to stand with families and say, you matter.
Our giving is always evolving. And we want to hear from you.
If there are organizations supporting immigrant families that you love and trust, please share them with us. Our community helps guide where we grow next, just like they helped guide this collection.
