A lawyer specializing in education and civil rights, she is also a co-founder of VietLead, a non-profit supporting communities of color. Cat lives in Philadelphia with her family.
Illustrator Kim Thai Nguyen, based in Grand Rapids, Michigan, brings each dish to life with her bright colors and delicate lines. Passionate about using art to connect with others, Kim hopes her work inspires readers of all ages to learn more about Vietnamese culture and cuisine.
