We had the absolute joy of visiting a school in New Jersey (virtually!)
This wasn’t just any classroom. This was Ms. Pamela’s classroom, and what she’s doing with her students is nothing short of amazing!

From teaching entrepreneurship to fostering representation in the classroom, these kids are learning big ideas - and they’re using Joeydolls as their real-world business model!

Our Classroom Journey with Ms. Pamela

In 2024, we were so lucky to be invited to speak to Ms. Pamela’s class. She had brought our Mei (Chinese) and Kamala (Indian) dolls into the classroom to show her students how business, representation, and cultural pride can come together.

And what happened next?

Magic!

The kids were absolutely captivated. They had been following our design journey - from sketches to prototypes to actual sellable dolls. And they had questions for us!

Lots of them.

They also showed us their own entrepreneurial ideas, including beautiful handmade bracelets they were preparing to sell.

Yes - these kids are running their own little businesses!

Our Exciting Return in 2025!

Fast forward to 2025, and Ms. Pamela reached out again! She said: "Joeydolls is STILL the perfect model for our class."

This year, her students are once again starting their bracelet-making companies and researching color combos their customers might love.

Seeing students light up with joy because they feel represented? That’s what Joeydolls is all about. From Mei to Soriya and now our Mini dolls, our mission to create multicultural dolls in the classroom has never felt more real.

We’re not just making dolls - we’re making space for kids to grow, imagine, and take pride in who they are.

Why Representation in Toys Matters So Much

Kids need to see themselves - and others - in their toys.

It helps them feel valued. It helps them belong. And it teaches them empathy from a young age.

Inclusive dolls in the classroom aren’t just cute and cuddly. They’re powerful tools for:

  • Building self-esteem

  • Combating anti-Asian racism

  • Starting conversations about colorism

  • Teaching kids about global cultures

And when students can connect with their toys? They grow up prouder and stronger.

What Makes Joeydolls So Special?

We’re not your average doll company. Every Joeydoll is:

  • Soft, huggable, and safe for even the littlest hands

  • Designed with cultural details that celebrate Asian heritage

  • Created to promote inclusion, education, and pride

  • A bridge for teachers and families to teach empathy and diversity
